For this CamelbackCulture Community Spotlight, we had the chance to go out to the far east valley, where we met Sid the Camel and learned about his menagerie of friends.  Sid resides at the Hoofbeats with Heart charity, a special place that helps many people working hard to find their SUPER Hoofbeats with Heart was founded by Kelley Hullihen, in 2007.  It is a 501c3 charity, run by volunteers, offering a variety of equine therapies to improve the lives of people with a wide range of physical, mental and emotional challenges.  Their website states “come as you are” and they choose...

Starting up the switchbacks at the beginning of Echo Canyon Trail, it’s 5:30 on a pleasantly warm November morning.  The trail is lit only by the faint light from the half moon overhead and the ambient glow from the surrounding city lights.
